Top of Dallas Cowboys Stadium
This picture was taken in June at the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium, it is the top portion of the stadium of course it it closed but this is what will be open on a nice and sunny day
John Warton's Comments:
I enjoy the pattern of the dome. It adds interest and
variety that most pictures do not have. I would increase the exposure slightly
because the white dome looks grey. Thank you for sharing your comments and your
properly sized photo with the community.

Wat Rong Khun - Thailand
Wat Rong Khun is very different from any other tmeple in Thailand, as it is designed in white colour with some use of white glass. It is situated in Northern Thailand, Chiang Rai and it was established by a well known Thai artist, Chalermchai Kositpipat.
Sony DSLR-A200 f10 1/160 ISO - 100 with the use of a polarizer filter.
John Warton's Comments:
The structure has much beauty as it contrasts the dark sky
with its crisp, white majesty. The polarizer filter removed the glare from the
water but left the reflection. Thank you for sharing your camera settings and
comments of your properly sized photo with the community.

Goulburn Court House
Goulburn Court House Montague Street Goulburn Australia. Nikon D300 Nikon Nikkor lens @ 20mm 1/15 F3.5 ISO1000 +5EV Manual Mode.
John Warton's Comments:
The picture has much beauty in the subject matter. I have
personally used the Nikon D300 and love the quality it offers. Still I would use
a tripod for this shot at 1/15 of a second. In fact, I would recommend a tripod
at an exposure of ½, ISO 200, F3.5. This will allow considerably less noise. Thank
you for sharing your camera settings and your properly sized photo with the
community.

Big Brother
This small church refused to sell to the developers of this skyscraper. It is now literally engulfed on two sides by the building which towers above it.
This shot was shot on my Canon XTi at 1/200, ISO 100, f5.6.
John Warton's Comments:
It sounds like an interesting struggle for valuable land in
the urban life. How do you like the Canon XTi? I love the option to do HD video
too. I like the angle and the simple setting. The brighter bottom of the church
leads my eye off the page. Try to keep the brighter section on the top of the
church or skyscraper. Thank you for sharing your camera settings and comments
of your properly sized photo with the community.

Arkansas Building
While traveling the backroads I spotted this building in a small town. It looked to have still been in use. The rock blocks are really rugged looking and I wanted to capture all the little nuances of light in so many places. a filter could have helped with the wash of color from the tree.
John Warton's Comments:
The building looks solid and intriguing. Some of the highlights
are too bright in the trees and the sky. You probably would have to take
several exposures—one for the sky and one for the building—and then merge then
together in Photoshop or a free program like Gimp. Thanks for resizing the
picture appropriately and sharing with the community.

The Medical Center Hospital
This is the Albert Luce Jr. Heart Institute of Macon Georgia. A part of The Medical Center Hospital. It was built two years ago.
John Warton's Comments:
I like the curve of the building as it wraps around the
grounds. There is not much you can do about the telephone pole in the way. You
could try backing up about 20 feet and zooming in for the same crop. This
should allow you too see the bottom of “The Medical Center.” Please make sure
you follow the rules and guidelines by submitting the largest dimension of the
photo at a maximum of 800 pixels. Thank you for sharing with the community.

Monticello
This is the home of Thomas Jefferson in Charlottesville, Virginia. Monticello was designed by Jefferson, took many years to build, and has the beautiful hexigon shaped room which you may recall from the back of the nickel. It has beautiful gardens including a graden still maintained with an incredible variety of vegetables as during Jefferson's life. I shot this with an Olympus E-500, ISO 50, F/6, speed 1/250; Focal Length: 4.67.
John Warton's Comments:
The picture is simple, colorful, and beautiful. The fair
amount of dodging and burning helps to place the attention on the building. Thank
you for sharing your camera settings and comments of your properly sized photo
with the community.

Inside old hat loft
I shot this @ f5.6, 1/125, iso 400 with Canon Xti. This barn is now empty and is not used. Another dairy farm gone, never to return.
John Warton's Comments:
The glow of the window and the cracks in the wood create
interest. Even with a centered subject, the attention is drawn inward. Thank
you for sharing your comments and your properly sized photo with the community.

I simply just loved the way the levels play with each other so beautifully of the clear blue sky. This is structure of the Getty in Los Angeles, CA
John Warton's Comments:
I like the simple, tight framing with the curves and
patterns. The slight backlighting also adds beauty to the shot. Your camera’s
ISO is set too high so it shows lots of noise. To capture the least amount of
noise, use the lowest ISO possible to ensure the best quality picture. Please
make sure you follow the rules and guidelines by submitting the largest
dimension of the photo at a maximum of 800 pixels. Thank you for sharing with

View of building from top floor of Kimmel Center
John Warton's Comments:
The patterns in the picture make the eye seem lots of
symmetry. My only suggestion is to remove the tree branch in the upper right. Please
make sure you follow the rules and guidelines by writing some comments and
submitting the largest dimension of the photo at a maximum of 800 pixels.
